Botswana is one of Africa's top safari destinations, teeming with game and bird-life, thanks in large part to a strong commitment to environmental conservation, and wildlife protection and management. A country roughly the size of Texas with a population of only 1.6 million people, Botswana practices a high-end, low-volume safari philosophy. Forty percent of its land is dedicated to national parks and wildlife reserves, providing travelers with the highest ratio of wildlife area per visitor. An unspoiled land of timeless beauty, Botswana offers possibly the finest, most authentic wildlife experience in the world. Learn more about Botswana's unforgettable landscape and thrilling nature with these wildlife–centric packages.

Catch Botswana on Two Hit Television Programs

Botswana Travel Offers

Have you been dreaming of a trip to Botswana but want to see it from an armchair safari first? You’re in luck as Botswana has recently been prominently featured in two hit television programs, “Birding Adventures TV” and “Equitrekking."

“Equitrekking” is airing two new episodes throughout May and June 2012 on most PBS stations. The episodes take viewers on exciting adventures as host Darley Newman travels around Botswana with local people as her guides to get an in-depth, eco-friendly look at Botswana’s natural surroundings, culture and history. Learn more about the episodes here and check your local public television listings for dates and times in your area.

Among the wild creatures of Botswana is a wide range of exotic birds, which TV host James Currie and the crew of Nikon’s “Birding Adventures TV” set out to explore this past February. The four-part series is airing on NBC SportsNetwork, and shares with viewers Currie’s travels and adventures throughout Botswana. Episodes will continue to air on NBC SportsNetwork through June 19, 2012. If you don’t get a chance to catch the episodes, check out Birding Adventures’ YouTube Channel which now features the four-part series:
